The Tribute is Ready

Despite the difficulties we have faced with the recent harvest, we have managed to prepare a Tribute for Karu. We extend our thanks to not just the people of the Heartwood but the people of Mydreign as a whole.

We understand that these recent times have been difficult in the Heartwood, with the more frequent monster attacks and the strange fruits in the orchards. But, with the delivery of the Tribute to Karu and the subsequent Blessing, our hardships should come to an end. We look forward to seeing all of you at the Blessing Festival soon.

In the meantime, Plumm Orchardmaster would like to make clear that nobody should eat the strange glowing purple fruit. There have been reports of people getting sick after doing so.

Commemorating the Battle of Myddul Plaza

Forgotten reveries of roses and applause (Reveries) held an award ceremony for the brave heroes who protected our fair city from the dreaded Kingslayer. As part of the festivities, a painting was unveiled depicting Myddul’s saviours – Angus Ironsmith, Pono Malianakin, Glimmer, Cairn, and Heralding – standing victorious over the villain. Each of them was also rewarded with a medal for their bravery, although Pono did not show up to accept; it is believed that he truly is humble.

Fertiliser & Paints

An unassuming handwritten note is taped to the board. It reads: Looking for information about a large batch of stolen fertiliser, expensive rare paints, or something that connects them both. This is for a battle of our rights as working Mydreignites. Meet by the windmill near the swamp. –B

Khashi Kno’s Tips and Reminders

A series of colorful posters sponsored by Kashi Kno’s Entertainment Complex that post reminders for first-timers and regulars.

One reads: ‘Always be aware of what is around you and keep your valuables close.’ In tiny text: ‘KKEC holds no responsibilities for items, magical or otherwise, lost on Complex grounds.’

Another: ‘Please do not pick the indoor plants!’

And finally, serving both as a PSA and an advertisement: ‘Hydration is king in the Desert. New beverage stalls now available!’

Tooth be Told - The only trustworthy source of Lizard’s Fangs’ news

Hail Lavata. As a response to the disaster at Mount Molar and surge of hostile monsters, the Volgecko tribes have called for a council at Fort Hammerfell. Under the First Treaty of Fort Hammerfell, any large-scale conflict between the Fort’s inhabitants and the Volgecko tribes must be addressed through a joint council hosted by the Fort itself.

The meeting will certainly be tense. Several of the Volgecko tribes have condemned the Fort's alleged complicity in the Mount Molar disaster, claiming that the Fort’s mining activities in the region have disturbed the natural cycle of volcanic activities and led to the eruption.

While the Fort is well-fortified, several Volgeckos are concerned about safety during the council meeting. Monsters have been attacking the Fort and ambushing their supply caravans, leading to casualties among the defenders of the Fort. Perhaps extra security precautions will need to take place to ensure a smooth meeting.

Rumours in the Forest

“So, what do you think about this weird fruit?”
”I don’t know what to make of it. But I heard that Appul tried a bit of it, and now he’s been bedbound for days.”
”Oh no! Poor Appul… Y’know, he was recently telling me that he’s seen a bunch of hooded figures going into the Deep Woods. You don’t think it’s all connected, do you?”
”Oh, I’m sure it couldn’t be. But… We should keep ourselves safe. Just in case.”

Celebrations, Preparations

A variety of posters announcing a myriad of parties being hosted throughout the Sunshade Desert. Some look more organized, such as the one being hosted by the Temple of Life later this week, to both celebrate and prepare for the Festival of Life coming up in about two weeks. Some seem to have been scrapped together by a few young Sunshaders who just want an excuse to dance in the cool, Desert air.

A Statement from the Grand Regent

Delivered from the balcony of the central tower of the Coral Court:

To the Citizens of Koralia and beyond,

As many have noticed, the time of prophecy is upon us. I commend those who battled valiantly last week against these sudden forces of evil. While there have been casualties, we will rebuild: both Koralia and our compatriots on the Raft, who I am aware are also badly affected. I too extend my well-wishes to those impacted in Myddul, and hope for your swift recovery.

Our Festival of Knowledge also draws near, and we await the sharing of wisdom and the arrival of esteemed guests. Therefore, it is imperative that this attempt on our lives cannot leave us scarred and deformed. Instead, our resolve must grow ever stronger. We must each keep calm, to preserve order and best prepare for the arrival of the Hero. Now more than ever, missteps must not be tolerated.

I leave you with a reminder of our purpose.

A swelling rendition of the Prophecy, performed by the Grand Academy choir.

Grand Academy Libraries Open Day

A note handwritten in a beautiful copperplate, on thick waterproof paper:

The Grand Academy Libraries will be open to non-students today in early preparation for our admissions season and the Festival of Knowledge. Admission will be granted in groups of five at most, with alumni as a priority.

Magical help requested

The quest is handwritten, in a delicate but readable cursive.

I am in need of a magical specialist. I have a task that upon completion shall hopefully help the Hero, or at least incentivise them to arrive in the first place. Potion making, enchanting, or just a general curiosity for magic would be welcome. Please meet me at the Great Raft at the Sea of Light if you wish to help. Rewards may or may not be provided.
