Despite its glorious walls and warriors, the city of Myddul is in grave danger. Where monster attacks against the farms were once a monthly, perhaps fortnightly thing, we now struggle to hold back the hordes that appear every day.
It is unclear what foul wizardry has caused this shift, but if this continues then soon the entirety of the city will soon be starving amongst their finest golds.
Something must be done.
Karu has been saved! Now that they are healed, the Blessing Festival in Secha Town can begin. It should be noted that our Guardian is still resting and recovering their strength, but we have already started to see the signs of this year’s Blessing: the monsters of the Deep Woods are no longer attacking our Orchards. There are still some weird glowing purple fruits. We ask people to avoid eating them.
This year’s festival is also an opportunity to thank the brave fighters who journeyed to Karu’s shrine – Pono, Heralding, Glimmer, Cairn, and Rute – as well as the local evil witch and her associate who provided them with the means to aid Karu. Without them, our Guardian would still be blighted by the monster that ailed it.
Finally, Barke Elder would like to extend thanks to the knights of Myddul, who have recently helped defend our town and orchards against attacks from Stingers and Vinelings during the past week.
Hello, I was having an enjoyable time at Khashi Kho’s entertainment complex when my cane suddenly went missing. I assume this was not intended, and it was accidentally picked up by a passerby who thought it was theirs. Nonetheless, getting around without my cane is much more difficult than it used to be, so I would appreciate some help in getting it back.

Dear citizens of Mydreign,
I am writing to you all to inquire about the current situation of Mydreign: notably the continued absence of the Hero. Incidents have occurred in Myddul and the Heartwood which would normally be reserved for the Hero’s attention, yet have had to be resolved in other means. It is only reasonable to assume that these incidents will continue to happen in the Hero’s absence. Thus, I posit a question for you. What is our new role in the world? For eternity, we have been preparing for the hero’s arrival, but in their absence we have a chance to break free of the mould of fate. No longer must we be bound.

I am looking for an artisan who can help make some balls for my game stall, Funn’s Target Takedown. Wood would be the preferred material, but I am open to other suggestions.
Anyone who wants to help should speak with Funn Gamerunner (currently staying at Wimzi’s Bowling Bonanza, in Khashi Kno’s Games and Entertainment Centre).
Come by and get a taste of the quenchiest juice in town, exclusive to Kashi Kno’s Entertainment Complex beverage stalls! It’s the quenchiest!
”Appul said that he’s heard some music coming from the Deep Woods recently.”
”Music? Really? That’s a bit creepy, isn’t it?”
”Oh, I’m sure it’s fine. We should go check it out. Appul’s probably making stuff up anyway. She always does that.”
”And leave the Blessing celebrations? No way, dude.”

A poster of the Desert at night, with the moon replaced with a mirrorball. Large, eye-catching text reads: LIFE IS GOOD. There is also smaller text for details: ‘The pilgrimage for the Day of Life begins later this week, starting in the City at dusk. Interested parties may come in and come out at any point, though we encourage full participation. -The Council of Life.’
Another poster with a similar aesthetic, where the Desert is blooming in shades of green. The large text reads, “Celebrate the Rain!” with the smaller text reminding readers that the Day of Life is happening next week.
…Once stolen from the Library by a group of conniving Academy students, the now-reinstated Book of Untangling has been pilfered from our Library once more. Triple layers of enchanted iron bars notwithstanding, the Library is also notorious for its draconian security measures installed by the Head Librarian: heavily-guarded entrances and impregnable burglary-proof iron doors. Whichever thief was responsible for this heist must truly be a master of their craft. The author does note that they wonder whether the librarians will be quite as good at deciphering their texts without it. Perhaps there will be less to see from a few charlatans at the Festival of Knowledge…
The news about a new monstrous creature of obsidian and molten rock has spread through the region.
Tephra, they call her. She has been linked to the massive eruption at Mount Molar where hundreds of Volgeckos and miners were lost in a fiery doom.
And now that the Lava begins to seep out of the fertile ground of Tokay village on the outskirts of Lizard’s Fangs Volcanoes, chieftain Mauna is desperate.
He finally reveals the truth passed down through each generation of the Tokay chieftains.
Tephra is not a monster. Worse, she’s the different side of the same coin to Goddess Lavata - another Goddess.
If Lavata is the lava on the surface, then Tephra is the magma moving deep down under.
Both share the power of volcanic controls, but Tephra is far more influential in her control of the molten rock and fire.
While Lavata maintains the peace on the surface, predicts the volcanic eruption, and evacuates people where they need to leave, Tephra controls the lava flow and creates the eruption.
For whatever reason, Tephra is now untethered, and seeks chaos.
The elder is calling for an emergency meeting of the brave adventurers. They must seek help from Lavata to pacify Tephra, or else the Tokay village and other places might be consumed in fire and ash like Mount Molar.
There is a threat to be dealt with, and they shall break their vow of secrecy to protect their home.
