The Good Witch

Here comes the good witch. She's in the Sunshade for a delivery of suncream: now that the worries of the prophecy are over many more tourists are frequenting the Sunshade and need adequate protection for their journey. Meanwhile, the sun's rays, coupled with the warm sand, just makes Lily eager for a nap. But that can wait until after the job is done. She runs across the sand until she finds herself at the entrance of Lux City. There, the Guide and a host of other visitors are all resting under the shade. Smiles arise on all their faces when Lily turns up. She shares out her potions of sun resistance, collects her payment (freshly ground sugar), and then skitters away. She's not done with the Sunshade yet though. She runs towards Eagle rock, climbs up it until she reaches a little nook where the perfect amount of sun is shining, and then curls up. It's a perfect napping spot.

Here comes the good witch. She's in Myddul for a delivery direct to the Monarch. Lily was a bit scared of meeting the Monarch at first, but now she just sees them as a rather eccentric customer. In fact, this time he's requested 7 different potions, all different colours of the rainbow. He said he wasn't interested in the actual effect of the potions, so Lily just added different bits of colouring to different water bottles and called it a day. Fortunately the Monarch seems pleased with them and gives Lily a handsome reward: the finest cinnamon Mydreign has to offer. She accepts and promptly runs out of the castle hall. Before she leaves, the rainbow light shining through the stained glass windows of the castle gave Lily an idea. She begins to climb the castle. It's not too difficult actually, there are many overhangs and decorations which makes getting up and down relatively safe, especially for a cat determined to nap. She keeps on climbing until she reaches an overhang right at the top of the castle. The stone is warm from the midday sun. She curls up and begins to fall asleep. It's a perfect napping spot.

Here comes the good witch. She's approaching the Sea of Light for an important delivery to Jo's: a new range of sauces. Lily leaves most of the deliveries to the Sea of Light to Triplicate as the big body of water isn't a tempting place for a cat, but she's happy to visit Jo's and taste the fruit of her work. Jo came up with the idea for new sauces when Lily revealed she was a witch on a date with Triplicate, and she's been commissioning Lily for new sauces ever since. It's not the most magical concoction Lily has ever made, but the best ones definitely rank amongst the most delicious. Alongside getting free meals, Jo occasionally has sweet treats for Lily. This time, she's got some artisan chocolate tempered by the researchers in the Sea of Light; apparently they've discovered a new technique to make the chocolate twice as delicious as before. Jo got a few bars for Lily, who happily stores them away for later. After the delivery is done and the free meal is eaten, Lily says goodbye to Jo and scampers outside. There's this lovely spot nearby on the lighthouse, where the sun shines and the water can't quite reach. Even though Lily would rather avoid being in the water, the sound of waves crashing against the cliffside makes for excellent sleep. It's a perfect napping spot.

Here comes the good witch. The last stop is the Lizard Fangs. Serenity requested some potions of fire resistance as a stock up. Lily takes one herself before entering Fort Hammerfell; she likes warm spots but the heat of the volcano is a bit too hot. Running through a mountain never stops being scary, but she's done this journey enough times with Triplicate now to know the way with confidence. It doesn't take long before she's reached Serenity and is ready to hand the potions over. Serenity thanks Lily, and hands back a rare type of vanilla bean in return. Apparently, it only grows in soil fertilised by volcanic ash. She hands over a jar of them, which should keep Lily supplied until the next planned stock up. Lily takes a smell of the vanilla beans (delicious!), before thanking Serenity and making her way out of Fort Hammerfell. On her way out however, Lily makes a brief stop near the exit. There's a small hole in the wall which is actually insulated enough to be cooler than the rest of the mountain. Lily sneaks in, curls up, and lets the sleepiness take control of her eyes. It's a perfect napping spot.

Here comes the good witch. She returns to the Heartwood after a long days work. Triplicate is already there waiting for her. She's still learning as Lily's apprentice. Triplicate's been getting much better despite Lily's general lack of teaching structure. The lesson for today was “make some potions” whilst Lily made deliveries, and behold Lily came back and some potions were made. Triplicate just made the staples: healing, monster repellent, even some apple juice with some leftover apples from the orchard. Lily inspects them all carefully (she quickly glances and shakes them to make sure they don't explode), before declaring an A*, all thanks to her exceptional teaching. Triplicate sighs, and sits down on the chair, ready to rest after a long days work. Lily concurs. She hops onto Triplicate's lap and curls up one last time for the day. It's her favourite napping spot.

Hot Chocolate

Among the piles of papers littering her workspace lies a small tome bound in worn leather. A single red ribbon, littered with small holes and tears has been slotted between the pages, marking one in particular. The contents of the marked page are scrawled, with little notes and adjustments added over time. It appears to be a recipe titled…

1)
must be milk chocolate (even though dark is better), cate likes hers extra sweet
2)
honey is fine if we run out
3)
NO COFFEE - you know why
4)
just a stick or two is fine
5)
don't drink too much, cate wasnt happy when i fell asleep next to the cauldron last time
6)
it's already going to be too sweet thanks to the milk chocolate so it won't matter…
7)
this part tastes realllyyyyy goooood
8)
roughly half the weight of milk and cream together
9)
watch out for cate, she will steal it >:[
10)
make sure it doesn't boil (obviously), cate can be realllyy distracting with her chocolate thiefing
11)
make sure to remind cate to stir from the bottom of the cauldron, she keeps on burning the chocolate to the bottom and that is a nightmare to clean every time we need to actually use the cauldron for a commission
12)
and put a lid on it, we do not want to relive the beetle incident
13)
cate doesn't like adding marshmallows or whipped cream, works for me -w-
