**What is your character’s Role in the Hero’s journey?**

Keanu was a travelling courier and merchant based in the Tokay Village. Originally, they were supposed to help introduce the Hero to the general geography of the Lizard's Fangs and function as a travelling merchant whom the Hero may come upon while dwelling in the area and the dungeon. 

**Is there something more your character wanted beyond this?**

While Keanu is making good profits by selling critical supplies to those who need them at a critical time, they aspire to be known for something more than a character who is stuck inside their home turf. As such,  Keanu aspires to be a great explorer who travels to every inch of the whole kingdom of Mydreign and documents its beauty (as well as gathering valuable exotic items to sell later).

**Does your character believe in fate and prophecy?**

They do! At one point they resigned themselves to roaming the Lizard's Fangs Volcanoes and only interacting with the Hero a few times before the Hero abandoned the area and they go back to their starting spot in Tokay Village. However, the disappearance of the Hero is seen by them as a critical moment in their fate - perhaps it is their destiny to be something more than just a merchant and a local introducer.

**What does your character think about the myth of the Hero?**

Keanu does not like the myth. The myth simplifies the moral ground into Hero-like actions and evil actions. The world and our morals are more complex than black and white.

  * Which lizard/gecko are they based on?
      * Keanu is a yellow leopard gecko! They also have brown freckles that spread randomly throughout their body. Their eyes are ember colour.
  * What is their age? How crystallised are they?
      * Keanu is an equivalent to 20 years old Mydlin. They are young enough to have fun but mature enough to be responsible. They are lightly crystalized at the moment.
  * Where in the Lizard’s Fangs are they from?
      * Tokay village. The best place to get supplies and merchandises from outside world.

> Come on up, Hero! Potions, antidotes, arrows, water, food, and even some gems! What??? Too expensive??? I literally walked all the way out here to find you by a dungeon and you complain that they are too expensive!? Sureeee...Good luck beating the golem in there with just a single potion.

Keanu Alakaikin (They/Them) is a Volgecko of the Tokay Village. Their appearances look like that of Tokay Gecko with the usual Volgecko characteristics. Originally, they are a travelling courier and merchant based in the Tokay Village who set out on a trip when the Hero arrives in the Lizard's Fangs region for the first time. They have excellent knowledge of the area, and an excellent selection of items they kept for sale. 

After the disappearance of the Hero, Keanu took off from their usual spot and path to explore the wider world and record its true beauty. 


**Private Bio:**
Keanu was born in the Tokay Village of the Lizard's Fangs Volcanoes. Unusual to the Tokayans, their mom was a travelling merchant who traded supplies and food between the village and the City of Myddul. Thus, they learned the trade from their mother. Keanu is a middle child sandwiched by an older brother and a younger sister. Though sometimes forgotten by their parents, this gave them more freedom than their siblings, resulting in them hanging out with some hooligans who kept trying to sell fake magical gag items to local kids. When Keanu came of age, they are assigned the job of introducing the Hero to the Lizard's Fangs locale and selling supplies to the Hero. Though appreciative of the good money and their role in supporting the Hero, Keanu immediately abandoned their role upon learning of the Hero's disappearance and immediately begin making money by upselling supplies or selling fake items to unsuspecting customers. This was done so that Keanu could have enough money to break out from their small world into a larger one. For all the money of the world must be in their hand one day, and all the people of the kingdom of Mydreign must sing the praise for Keanu, the richest merchant alive.

**What is your character’s Role in the Hero’s journey?**

Berry was a side-quest giver for the Hero inside the Heartwood. While their quests can be considered as repetitive and time-filling (i.e. gathering 50 lilies of the valley, catch 30 toads, or deliver 5 berries from each of the species that can be found in the Heartwood), the quests do compensate the Hero with good amount of rewards (golds, location to special items, and achievement unlocks) and train the hero to indulge in the atmosphere of the Heartwood.

**Is there something more your character wanted beyond this?**
They ABSOLUTELY hate being a side-quest giver. Rather, they want to be the adventurer themselves!!! For catching 30 toads is more fun than sitting around waiting for the stinky Hero to show up with a bag. They want to travel out into the world to see beautiful place and do cool things.

**Does your character believe in fate and prophecy?**
No, Berry is a practical person who lives life one step at a time. He does not care about predictions and prophecies. He wants to enjoy their life to the best of their ability.

**What does your character think about the myth of the Hero?**

Myth is simply a myth. Berry believes that the Hero can be anyone or anything trying to make a positive change to the world.

  * Tell us what animal they are based on, and how they appear.
    * Berry is a North-American Raccoon. Due to their healthy diets (full of fruits and vegetable), Berry has lush black and white fur that is well-kept and soft when they hug their friends. Berry is on the smaller size of a raccoon-based Beastkin.

      * Owed a Favour (+): Keanu the Volgecko actually owes them quite a lump sum of money (somehow Berry selling frogs gives them more money than Keanu's travelling merchant job). While Berry did not expect their money back, they expect Keanu to be their friend and ally!

Berry Catcher (He/They) is a raccoon beastkin of an orchard near Secha Town. On top of tending to the apple orchard as an Orchardkeeper, he also gives side-quests to the Hero which tend to help them maintain the orchard. They have excellent knowledge of the fauna and plants in the Heartwood, and they make excellent apple jam as a reward from time to time. 

After the disappearance of the Hero, Berry sold off their orchard to travel the world and stay away from the monotony of their life in a day job.

**Private Bio:**
Berry Catcher (He/They) is a raccoon beastkin of an orchard near Secha Town. He is 4-ft tall and works as an Orchardkeeper. Growing up, he dreamed of traveling the world and tasting fruits that are not native to the Heartwood. However, as an adult, he is forced to seek a stable job as an Orchardkeeper. To maintain his sanity, he gives out side-quests to the Hero, both as a way to take a break from his boring day at work and as a way to interact with someone living their dream. The disappearance of the Hero had spur Berry to leave his monotonous job and travel the world. 

Upon leaving the Heartwood, he ran into Keanu the traveling merchant in the city of Myddul who was getting hounded by the guards for selling fake items. Being a kind-hearted person, he used half of the money he saved from the Orchardkeeper jobs to pay for Keanu's crime. Since then, they have been an adventuring buddy traveling the world!
