The City of Myddul

Completing Dungeons unlocks new Quests and Items in areas you've previously visited.

At the heart of Mydreign lies the city of Myddul [mid-dull], the (by its own proclamation) oldest and largest city in the world. While predominantly the home of most Mydlins, the city forms a vibrant space for the different cultures and species of Mydreign to mingle and collaborate, and a hub for the Hero to return to between their adventures.

Towering above the rest of Myddul – perhaps even the rest of Mydreign – Castle Mydreign stands tall as an impressive feat of architecture, fitting for the kingdom its inhabitants rule over.

While most Mydreignites have no reason to visit, the castle's halls are always open to those in need of shelter or assistance, or those seeking an audience with the monarch.

At both the physical and metaphorical heart of Myddul lies the plaza, a grand open space that, despite its size, never feels empty.

Whether it be the grand parades of the Founding Festival, or simply ordinary citizens performing for smaller crowds, the plaza is always full of life and merriment.

It is a common saying that if you're looking for something, you should try the markets of Myddul. Comparable only to the Great Raft in size, the sprawling markets taking up many of Myddul's streets sell anything from cheese and weapons, to magic items only the Hero can use.

If there's something you're looking to buy or sell, odds are one of the many merchants of Myddul will be able to help you. Thanks to the strong trade routes running through Myddul, objects from across Mydreign can be found here, forming the foundation of the bustling melting pot of cultures that Myddul is built on.

The largest tavern in the entirety of Myddul, the Boiled Goat is a popular place for people to meet, meal, and unwind.

Home to the city's famous Quest Board, where the citizens of Myddul have an opportunity to ask the Hero for assistance, the Boiled Goat is much more than just a business; it is an important cornerstone of the Myddul community.

The tavern's balcony provides a gorgeous view over the plaza, if you can get yourself a spot.

The oldest building in Myddul stands alone, ancient stone older than memory. Whatever gods were once worshipped here, their names have not been spoken in centuries. The chapel still sees use for public events and venerating other gods, watched over by a lone caretaker.

Every year, the citizens of Mydreign gather to celebrate the founding of Myddul and the legends surrounding it. The streets fill with people and decorations, as everyone tries to show off their arts and spread merriment. While the Festival itself formally only lasts a single day, the weeks both leading up to and following it are just as full of life and joy.

Legends claim that when the Hero arrives, it will be during one of these festivals, an occurrence that is waited for with excitement and fear both.
