Beautiful characters have an easier time in social situations.

Native to The City of Myddul, Mydlins [Mid-lins] are a both literally and culturally central species in Mydreign.

Physically, Mydlins are identical in appearance to real-world humans, with the exception of a pair of horns that begin growing from their temples once they reach adolescence. The exact appearance of these horns varies from individual to individual, from tall and straight to gnarled and curled.

Mydlin culture is centred first and foremost on appearances. Beauty and art are ideals celebrated and encouraged, whether that be traditional art or foods or festivals. A life not filled with joy and beauty simply is not worth living.

Alongside other forms of personal beauty standards, most Mydlins care very strongly about their horns, despite their size and shape having little to no practical implications. Whether by coincidence or by custom, the Monarch of Myddul has the largest and most impressive horns of all.

Traditional Mydlin clothing is typically made of fine silks adorned with golden jewelry. Gowns and dresses are popular regardless of gender, and typically leave shoulders and arms exposed. Some Mydlins also own more practical woollen garments, though these may be looked down upon as a sign of lesser beauty.

Mydlins are as diverse in appearance as real-world humans, with the exception that almost all of them are striking standards of beauty.
