Mydreign

Mydreign is a big place, Hero. There is much to see and do.

New Game Plus is set in the kingdom of Mydreign [mid-rain], a vast land surrounded by a towering wall of mist.

There are a number of distinct regions within the world, each of which would usually form a distinct step in the journey of the Hero. This page provides an overview of each region, with links to more detailed pages about each.

The largest and oldest (by its proclamation) city within Mydreign, Myddul sits at the centre of the kingdom. It serves as a vibrant hub for people from all corners of the world to come together in discussion and collaboration.

A sprawling forest in the south of the kingdom. The Heartwood is known for its fruit trade and annual harvest celebrations. The forest is under the protection of the Guardian Beast, Karu, who provides the region with its Blessing.

A series of volcanoes located to the north of Mydreign. While large explosions have not been seen recently, the area is still covered by a dark red of fire and ash. There are a number of settlements built from obsidian and quartz.

A great sea located to the southeast of Mydreign. Named for the bioluminescence of its various flora and fauna that tint the water with an array of hues as night falls. Settlements have been built both above and below the water.

A vast expanse of sand, canyons, and dry shrubbery located to the west of Mydreign. It is a difficult area to traverse without adequate preparation and a guide due to the heat and danger posed by monsters. Not much can be found above ground, but settlements have been established inside underground cavern systems.

While some areas of the world are close enough to walk from one to another with ease, Mydreign is a large place, and it can be difficult to get from one place to another, especially if you seek to do so quickly. Fortunately in their quest, the Hero has an ally who aids them in getting around: The Bird That Takes You Places. With the Hero missing, The Bird is opening up their services to others who seek to travel the lands of Mydreign.

Out of character, a PC’s location will be represented by a location role on the Discord server, which will grant access to a selection of channels in the sidebar. Travelling from one area to another, with help of The Bird That Takes You Places, can be done using the /warp command with The Bot That Takes You Places. Your role will be updated and you will have access to the new areas.

However, some channels may be secret and cannot be reached via The Bird That Takes You Places. In these instances, you will need to ping a GM and request to be moved to that channel. We ask that you are patient when you request access to a new location, as the GMs will also be managing other things happening in Uptime.
