Play This If...

This page consists of a list of potential archetypes that players may want to explore within this game. Each theme is presented with a few mechanical choices you could make, or areas of the game you could interact with. This is intended to serve both as inspiration that could be further built upon, as well as advice to players who know what they’d like to explore but aren’t sure how to do so.

This is not a comprehensive list of all of the character types available in New Game Plus, nor are the options listed the only ways to achieve the character you want. It is only designed to serve as a starting point to offer suggestions for a character concept and guide you through the wiki.

The deities of the world are revered for their blessings. You seek to gain their wisdom, in order to share it with others (or perhaps to keep it for yourself).

  1. Travel the world, interacting with the various deities and their followers.
  2. Consider taking the Mindbender Playstyle Quirk.
  3. Consider poking the Chapel in Myddul.

You enjoy tricks and games, happy to use people for your own gain. You’re always sure to stay one step ahead of the consequences.

  1. Consider taking the Untrustworthy Quirk.
  2. Consider taking a positive Relationship with a partner in crime, or a negative Relationship with someone who seeks your capture.
  3. Consider taking stealth-based Specialties for the Move Skill, or theft-based Specialties in the Gather Skill.

Mydreign is a big place, and you want to find out its secrets. You’re always on the go, in search of the next adventure.

  2. Consider coming from Myddul, to provide a hub for your adventures, OR come from the Sea of Light and take the Chela’s Reach Quirk.
  3. Give your character a Role related to exploration.

You’re just here for a good time, looking for cosy, low-stakes plots. While others are fighting monsters and exploring dungeons, you’re sitting down for some tea with family and friends.

  1. Consider taking a positive Relationship Quirk.
  2. Consider playing a Beastkin or a Volgecko, who both place importance upon family bonds, or a Shadecrawler, who just wants to have fun.
  3. Get involved with the game centres in Lux City.

You’re used to all eyes being on you. You belong in the limelight, and you know it. People hang on your every word.

  1. Consider playing a Mydlin, known for their beauty and charisma.
  2. Start as part of Myddul’s Nobility or be a member of Koral society.
  3. Consider taking the Trustworthy Quirk.

You’re a fighter, through and through. Perhaps you seek to defend those who can’t fight for themselves, or you want to prove you are the strongest of them all.

  1. Begin with 2 points in the Attack Skill.
  2. Consider taking the All or Nothing Quirk.
  3. Give your character a Role related to fighting.
