Followers of the gods find strength within their faith.

Within the world of New Game Plus, there are a number of different deities that walk the land. Each region of Mydreign has its own connection to faith and religious beliefs that help to guide the lives of the people living there. This page gives a summary of some of the deities and religious beliefs within the world.

Making its home in the deepest part of the Heartwood is Karu, the Guardian. This Beast is responsible for the Blessings that protect the forest and its people from harm, as well as being the one who created the Beastkin. Each year, the people of Secha Town prepare a tribute to be delivered to Karu in exchange for a new Blessing.

The Goddess of Volcanoes. Lavata resides in the Ebony Tower inside Mount Incisor, the highest volcano in the Lizard's Fangs. Lavata can control volcanic activities and rain patterns in the region. It is believed that angering her will cause violent eruptions, and so offerings of crops and ores are made to her.

The Guardian of the Sea of Light, making xer home within a cave system beneath the waves. It is said that anything that is lost eventually makes its way to xer, such that it may be reclaimed once again.

Shadecrawlers do not worship a particular deity: instead, they are a spiritual people that dedicate themselves to Life itself. This manifests in their philosophy of living in the present and hedonistic attitudes, which translates to frequent festivities and trips to the Tunnel's game centres.

Their biggest festivity is the Day of Life, a ceremony that celebrates life in the Desert – both the life that is lived in spite of such a harsh environment, and the life that thrives because of it. Before the day itself, the Shadecrawlers of Lux City make a week-long pilgrimage to the Temple of Life, a monastery led by its eldress, the Lifekeeper.

There are rumours of older gods, who walked the lands in the distant past, though their names are long-forgotten now. Some shrines are still held for them, preserved by a dedicated few, but they hold no place within modern life.
