Species Overview
The world of Mydreign is full of all sorts of people. Make sure to say hello on your travels.
The setting for New Game Plus is home to a number of unique species. This page provides an overview of the five species that are available for players to choose from when creating a character, giving a brief outline of their traits. Links are provided to more detailed pages about each one.
While most species originate in a certain area in Mydreign, members of each species can be found all over the world. As such, when creating a character, do not feel limited in where you are able to have your character be from. You might find inspiration by looking at the Society & Culture sections of other species pages, based on where they live; you may even want your character to follow the typical naming conventions given on a different species page.
Mydlin
The Mydlin are a humanoid species, with a pair of horns that grow from their temples, most often found in the City of Myddul. Their culture is focused upon appearances and beauty, believing that life isn’t worth living unless it’s filled with joy and beauty. They celebrate and encourage the ideals of art and beauty.

Shadecrawler
Shadecrawlers are native to the Sunshade Desert. They are an arachnid species that primarily lives in the shade provided by the caverns in the Desert. They are laid-back, and are known for their festivities and celebrations. Until relatively recently, Shadecrawlers have been mostly isolated from the rest of Mydreign due to the difficulty of crossing the Desert, but their main settlement, Lux City, has become a popular place for tourists due to their game centres.
