– A very truncated version of the speech given by Excitable Mythos, the new Head Librarian

“Are you getting this boss? Alright, there I was chilling in the Heartwood. When bam! The lantern I was sitting next to was gone. At first I didn’t think much of it boss, no lantern means easier napping. But then all the lights started to disappear, and I’ll be real boss I was pretty scared. Lights all around me vanishing, like we’ve been Robin Hood’d.

It wasn’t too much longer afterwards boss that light came back. But instead of the lanterns next to me it was… the sun? It came back for a couple minutes boss, I know, it’s insane. But I swear I saw the sun rise up in the sky… and then fall back down a minute later. I’m telling you I wasn’t hallucinating boss! Anyway, when the sun fall from the sky, soon enough the lanterns around me all fell into place and it’s like nothing had changed. Don’t look at me like that boss, this all really happened whilst you were napping!”

We saw a strange capybara creature float through That Night…took our lanterns and torches! What could it have been?!? Bet it was the Villain mocking us…must be some kind of minion…

And I am so proud of you all. I can feel it in these old bones that this story is coming to an end, y’all have done so much work to fight back against impossible odds. I know the Hero of legend never came and that left us in a real hard spot, but you all have stuck together and fought to survive when others would have just given up. I don’t know what’s gonna happen in this coming week, and I don’t know if I’ll ever see the sun shine over Mydreign again, but I know whatever is gonna happen I’ll be happy knowing that there’s so many of you out there trying your best.

In an unprecedented move, the new Castellan and Forge Master of Fort Hammerfell, Keahi, has announced a renewed partnership and a cooperative agreement with the Volgecko Elder Councils and the new goddess of lava, Tephra. This comes as the monsters of the Lizard’s Fangs had broken free from Tephra’s control and declared for the Villain.

Battles will be fought, but at least the Lizard’s Fangs are united.

The Desert Rain has returned. We thank the adventurers who have taken it upon themselves to discover the floating islands above us and return the rain.
